The role involves managing psychotropic medications for clients of RHA, including initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits for medication evaluation and management. The position requires collaboration with RHA staff and community healthcare professionals. Candidates must be certified as a psychiatric nurse practitioner or physician assistant with experience working with the supported population. Responsibilities include providing services with limited supervision, performing physical tasks such as lifting and CPR proficiency, and working in a positive environment with a seasoned healthcare team. The role supports individuals with intellectual, developmental disabilities, mental health, behavioral health, and substance use challenges. Education and licensure requirements include being licensed by the North Carolina Nursing Board as a Registered Nurse, national certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Nurse Practitioner, and familiarity with NC Medicaid Board standards. Preferred experience includes 3 years in behavioral health care and crisis management. Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance are required.
