Job Summary: 

We are looking for a skilled Handyman to join our team! In this role, you will perform routine maintenance work that may include minor plumbing and electrical repairs, basic carpentry, infrastructure maintenance, and assist in the daily and emergency maintenance of the RV park. 

You are hard-working, a team player, and dedicated to performing quality work in all that you do. Significant past experience as a professional maintenance worker is highly preferred and a positive attitude is a must! 

Responsibilities: 

• Overseeing the proper operating testing, maintenance, and minor repairs of all electrical and plumbing systems in the park
• Assisting in the oversight and performance of daily park maintenance while ensuring the quality and timeliness of park staff as well as contractors
• Monitor and repair the water main and well systems for the park to ensure adequate water supply for residents, guests and employees
• Inspect park facilities such as restrooms, showers, common areas, and RV spaces regularly to identify maintenance needs and perform plumbing maintenance such as pipes, drains, faucets and showers
• Assist in grounds maintenance activities including mowing lawns, trimming bushes, and removing debris 
• Perform routine HVAC maintenance, such as inspecting, making minor repairs, or doing other preventive maintenance actions
• Diagnose problems and determine how to correct them, checking maps, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary
• Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices
• Respond to utility/park emergencies during and after work hours
• Use a heavy machinery like a bobcat to spread gravel
• Assist other maintenance staff with digging, trimming trees and more complex maintenance tasks
• Assist in the maintenance of the pool, testing chemicals, cleaning surface, power washing deck and chairs
• Interact with co-workers, contractors and residents/guests in a professional and friendly manner 

Qualifications : 

• Previous 3 years experience as a handyman / general maintenance
• Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (OSHA)
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in using basic hand and power tools, lawn care equipment, and maintenance machinery 
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects, trench, and work outdoors in various desert weather conditions
• Proficient with basic computer, cell phones and email, preferred
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week and have flexible hours depending on high demand "peak" times of the year 
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs on a consistent basis
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
• Pass a consumer credit and criminal background screening and submit a pre-employment drug screening
