Overview of the Design Studio Specialist role You will inspire customers to express themselves in their homes, assist them in-store and in-home, and complete sales at the cash wrap. You will promote ongoing engagement and strengthen their connection with our brand. Responsibilities Utilize design expertise to assist clients through consultations in-store and in-home, focusing on designing their living spaces to increase store sales. Conduct productive in-home consultations, including measuring and assessing the client's living space accurately. Create and present design plans tailored to the client's needs, style, preferences, and space. Stay informed about current sales and promotions to meet and exceed sales and productivity goals. Provide exemplary service for special requests such as gift wrap, gift registry, merchandise locating, catalog/internet orders, and furniture orders. Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge, including features and benefits of the entire design studio assortment. Criteria Strong communication, clienteling, and follow-up skills. Ability to coordinate complex large orders across various sales channels. Experience with design elements is preferred. Proven ability to prioritize and multitask effectively. 1-2 years of customer service and retail sales experience; specialty retail experience is a plus but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods. Capability to lift and move medium to large items up to 75 lbs., using proper equipment and safety techniques. Full-time associates should have flexible availability to meet business needs. Part-Time Flex associates must be available for at least two weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) and two weekday shifts (Monday-Thursday). For schedules of 20+ hours weekly, greater availability may be required.
